The customer purchased a GWEIKE deburring machine for stainless steel inserts.
We have installed a GWEIKE R-R1000 deburring machine at the facility of a Czech manufacturer of house numbers, mailboxes, and street signs. The customer frequently works with stainless steel and acquired the new machine to complement their existing GWEIKE GA-series CNC laser cutter. This allows them to mechanically deburr stainless steel parts immediately after the laser-cutting process.

Why deburr stainless steel parts after laser cutting?
Even a precisely cut part can feature sharp edges or minor burrs following the laser-cutting process. For visible products—such as house numbers and street signs—the condition of the edges is an integral part of the final appearance. In the case of mailboxes, the tactile quality of the edges during everyday use is also important.

Deburring helps remove residual material left over from cutting and softens sharp edges. Furthermore, for repeat production runs, the same machine settings can be applied to an entire batch of similar parts, resulting in more consistent edge finishing.
The GWEIKE R-R1000 combines grinding and edge rounding
The customer opted for our best-selling model, the GWEIKE R-R1000, which features a working width of 1,000 mm. In this configuration, the machine combines an abrasive belt with rotary brushes. Each unit serves a specific purpose: the abrasive belt removes burrs, while the rotary brushes subsequently refine and round the edges of the part. Both operations are completed in a single pass through the machine. In the production process, these two technologies work in direct sequence. A GWEIKE GA-series CNC laser cuts the required shape from a stainless steel sheet. A deburring machine then finishes the edges to achieve the desired final appearance.

Stainless steel part: before and after deburring
The installation photos show a stainless steel part immediately after laser cutting and again after passing through the deburring machine. When comparing the two, take a close look at the edges—this is where you can best see how the removal of burrs and the rounding of edges transform the part’s appearance.

Do you need to deburr laser-cut parts in your own production facility?
Whether you process stainless steel or other types of sheet metal, the right machine choice depends on the dimensions of your parts and the specific edge finish required. Let us know what kind of parts you produce, and we will recommend the ideal configuration for a deburring machine.
