Deburring machine for blanks

As part of our offer for complete sheet metal processing, we offer deburring machines for chamfering edges and removing burrs that laser or plasma blanks may have. You no longer have to clean blanks manually. With a deburring machine, you will receive a machine-clean blank for further processing in your production. You can choose from several options for processing blanks after laser processing.

Ask about a deburring machine

Within our experience with sheet metal processing, we will be happy to recommend a suitable machine configuration for your production. We will then ensure complete delivery including installation at your location. We will test the machine in your operation and train the operator. This is followed by a two-year warranty. Service including a warehouse of spare and consumable parts for all deburring machines is a matter of course.

Sample configuration

The most frequently supplied machine to our customers is the version of the sheet metal deburring machine in a combination of rotary brushes and sand belts for chamfering sharp edges on blanks.

GWEIKE deburring machine

Model R-R1000

Working width: 1000 mm
Working height: 50 mm
The length of the workpiece is unlimited
Workpiece clamping: vacuum + magnetic
Abrasive belt size: 1000 × 2000 mm
Abrasive belt motors: 15 kW + 11 kW

This model is popular mainly because of the variability of the possibilities of processing a metal part. You can completely process a blank in one machine. This will save you time and thus make your production more efficient.

What materials is the GWEIKE deburring machine suitable for?

The machine is designed for a wide range of metal materials. It is certainly suitable for:

  • Structural steel
  • Stainless steel
  • Aluminum and its alloys
  • Copper
  • Galvanized sheets

A great advantage of the machine is the possibility of processing edges without unnecessary damage to the surface or protective layer of the material. This is especially important for blanks to be painted or parts with a visible surface.

Processing principle

The deburring machine works on the principle of a combination of grinding and brush units. Depending on the selected configuration, it can be equipped with a grinding belt, universal rotating brushes or a combination of both technologies.

The grinding belt is mainly used to remove significant burrs, slag, oxides. The brush units then process the edges. Thanks to the combination of its own rotation and alternating movement of the brushes, uniform rounding of the edges is achieved.

Variants of working units

Abrasive belt

Abrasive belt is suitable for more intensive surface grinding or slag removal. It is used mainly for parts after laser, plasma or autogenous cutting, where it is necessary to unify the surface and remove unwanted residues after cutting.

Universal rotary brushes

The brush unit is designed for fine deburring and rounding of edges. It processes external and internal contours perfectly. Thanks to the rotational and alternating movement of the brushes, the edges are processed evenly without aggressive intervention in the surface of the material.

Deburring machine brushes

Combination of abrasive belt and brushes

The most universal configuration is the combination of abrasive belt and brush units. This variant allows you to remove slag, significant burrs, oxide layer and round edges at the same time in one pass. It is ideal for those of you who want to include a complete finishing technology.

Clamping options for blanks

A metal deburring machine can be equipped with vacuum and magnetic clamping. Magnetic clamping is logically suitable for magnetic materials, such as common structural steel. It allows for a firm fixation of the part without the need for a vacuum system, which significantly reduces energy consumption.

For non-magnetic materials, such as aluminum or copper, a vacuum clamping can be used in the deburring machine. The vacuum system holds the part firmly on the conveyor during grinding and allows for safe processing of even less regular or slightly deformed parts.

Main advantages of the deburring machine

Higher productivity

The machine replaces time-consuming manual grinding and deburring. One person can operate the technology, which repeatedly and evenly processes parts in continuous mode.

Repeatable quality

Unlike manual grinding, the result is stable and better controllable. Each part can be processed with the same settings and the same result.

Safer handling of parts

Removing sharp edges minimizes the risk of cuts during handling.

Better results

The deburring machine delivers rounded edges and a cleaner surface. This increases the quality of the final product. The parts look more professional.

Lower costs

Automating finishing operations reduces the need for manual grinding, shortens production time and helps to solve the shortage of qualified workers.
